Shannon Maurine Jarmillo, 67, of Menan, passed away July 1, 2008 at Madison Memorial Hospital.
She was born September 24, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Elmo T. Haggerty and Donna F. Davidson. Since her father was a salesman, she spent her childhood in various parts of Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, and Idaho. She graduated from Missoula High School in 1959 and later moved back to Idaho where she met and married her husband Leandro (Lee) Jaramillo. They lived in both Oregon and Idaho but eventually made Menan their permanent home where they raised their four children. She was a very creative person who enjoyed painting, crocheting, and quilting as well as spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband Lee; of Menan, children, Anthony Jaramillo (Laurie) of Ashton, Angela Sims (Steve) Garcia, of Grand Junction, Co., Daniel Jaramillo of Menan, Michael Jaramillo (Shawndell) of Kuna, Id.; sisters, Patti Lee of Clear Lake, Ca., and Erin D’Armond of Nevada City, Ca.; brother Dennis Haggerty (Brenda) of Pavillion, Wy.; cousins, Marsha Peterson of Sonoma, CA, and Carol Evans of Tuscon Az; eight grand children; four great grand children; and many, many friends.
Funeral services will be held at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby on July 5, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. The family will visit with friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., prior to service.

Tracy Lynne Briggs Howell, 46 of Rexburg, died Monday, June 30, 2008 at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of complications following surgery. She was born August 25, 2961 in Rexburg to Larry L. Briggs and Carol Sommer Briggs. Tracy attended Madison High School and later earned her GED. She married Jeffrey Lee Howell on February 14, 1980 in Rexburg. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a homemaker and loved her children and grandchildren. For the past twelve years she has bred and sold Boxer dogs, which was a joy in her life.
Tracy is survived by her husband, Jeff Howell of Rexburg, Sons, Travis Howell of Inkom and Jason Howell of Rexburg, a daughter, Jami Lee Howell of Parker, her parents, Larry and Carol Briggs of Rexburg, sister, Tamra K. (Jeff) Hanks of Hinckley, Utah, brother, Troy (Estela) Briggs of Rexburg, and grandchildren, Catelynne Hoskin of Parker and Josh Scook of Inkom.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lenis and Gladys Briggs and Kenneth and Madge Sommer.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2008 at the Burton LDS church with Bishop Robert Hodgen officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Flamm Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 prior to services. Interment will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
 
 
Dylan Michael Stelzer, 11, of Menan, died Friday, June 27, 2008 of injuries received in an automobile and train accident.
 
Dylan was born April 11, 1997, in Rexburg, Idaho a son of Tony Thomas Stelzer and Tamara Freeman Stelzer. Dylan was raised in Burton and Menan. He attended Burton Elementary and Midway Elementary. He enjoyed video games, riding his bicycle, reading, and spending time with his friends and family.
 
Dylan is survived by his father Tony T. Stelzer, sisters Samantha and an infant sister all of Menan, grandparents Mel and LaKauna Freeman of Burton, and Nancy Exler of Osgood, Idaho, great grandparents, Bill and Trish Mason of Parker, and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
 
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2008, at the Burton 1st Ward L.D.S. Chapel with Bishop Robert Hodgen officiating. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby and prior to the service on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home in Rigby. Tamara Stelzer, 30, of Menan, died Friday, June 27, 2008 at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of injuries received in automobile and train accident.
 
Tamara was born November 5, 1977 in Idaho Falls, Idaho a daughter of Melvin Freeman and LaKauna Mason Freeman. She was raised and attended school in Burton and Rexburg graduating from Madison High School. She earned her L.P.N. at the Idaho Vo-Tech. She worked at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center as a nurse for two years and the Creekside Pain Center for 1 year. Tamara married Tony Thomas Stelzer on September 20, 2003, in Burton, Idaho. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed gardening. The love of her life was her children, family and was best friends with her siblings. Tamara was beloved by everyone who knew her and made friends every where she went from the time she started walking.
 
Tamara is survived by her husband Tony Stelzer of Menan, daughter Samantha, and an infant daughter both of Menan, parents, Mel and LaKauna Freeman of Burton, sisters Jacque (Todd) Heyrend of Lyman, Pam (Randy) Ellis of Saratoga Springs, Utah, Chelsea Freeman of Burton, brothers Doug Freeman of Burton, Shaun (Laurie) Freeman of Herriman, Utah, Mike Freeman of Yakima, Washington, grandparents Bill and Trish Mason of Wilford. She was preceded in death by her son Dylan Stelzer, brother, Jason Freeman, Grandmothers, Mae Larson, and A’Neal Mason.

Wenonah Vee Norton, 77, of Rexburg died Sunday, June 29, at the Rexburg Nursing Center. She was born September 21, 1930 in Provo Utah to Horace Alma and Viola Beck Porter.
She graduated high school in Walla Walla Washington. She meet and married Donald Ivan Norton, February 20, 1951in Yuma Arizona. The marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Utah LDS Temple.
As an Air Force wife she spent time in England, Waco, Texas and Kansas City, Missouri. She retired while in Kansas City, Missouri after working as a payroll clerk for the United States Marines.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary, Relief Society, Sunday School and as a Seminary Teacher. She moved to Rexburg in 1998. At her ward in Millhollow she served in the Primary, Sunday School and the Genealogy Extraction Program. She also served as a PTA President as well as a Cub Scout Den Mother.
She is survived by a son Douglas (Maxine) Norton of Rexburg, Idaho, a daughter Sharon (Kent) Freeman of Northpole, Alaska, her sisters Beulah Porter of Las Vegas, Nevada, Norma Porter of Texas, Laurel Porter of Walla Walla, Washington, as well as 7 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brothers, Horace, Averille and Elzo Porter, and her sisters June Dick and Merna Porter and a grandson Andrew Freeman.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 2, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg. Graveside services will be held at Green Pond Cemetery in Pitsfield, Illinois.
 
Lloyd Richard Johnson age 89, passed away on June 28, 2008 of natural causes. He was born on June 22, 1919 to Albin E. Johnson and Signe Marie Jansen on a cattle ranch at Trout Creek, Lago, Idaho. He married Afton Hansen on May 14, 1941 in the Logan LDS Temple.
Lloyd died with a firm testimony of Jesus Christ after a lifetime of service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a loving, caring, committed husband and father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved and cherished each member of his extended family. He was an avid reader and loved gardening, landscaping, and flowers of every variety. He was well read and kept up on current events. He loved all people, and enjoyed life to the fullest. Hard work was a joy to him.
He graduated from Logan High School and took several mechanical classes from Utah State College. He served in World War II, receiving a silver star and two bronze stars. He received the European, African, and Middle East Service Ribbons, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Ribbon, Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Marksman Medal. His military service abroad took him to many countries where he had many experiences, some them life changing.
He worked 28 years for Kloepfer Construction Company of Logan, Utah, operating and transporting heavy construction equipment. Later in life, he worked approximately 5 years for Thiokol Chemical Company as a safety officer. He left Thiokol to work for the City of Logan where he worked until retirement. Following his retirement, he and Afton moved to Sugar City, Idaho to be close to his son’s family. His beloved eternal companion preceded him in death, passing away on January 19, 2003.
He is survived by his daughter Kathryn (Willis) Whitney of Olympia, Washington, a son Richard ( Debra) Johnson of Sugar City, Idaho, a brother Leo (Shirley Mae) Johnson of Roy, Utah, a sister Grace Dixon of Richland, Washington, as well as 8 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Martin, Russell, Raymond and Dean Johnson, and his sisters, Margaret Wuthrich and Della Petersen.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at the Sugar City LDS Stake, 300 South Austin, Sugar City, Idaho 83448, Bishop Russell Thurston, of the Sugar City 3rd Ward, officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home and again from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery, Logan, Utah at 1:00 p.m. on July 3, 2008. In lieu of sending flowers, please donate to your ward missionary fund.

Clyde Alonzo Moore, 44, of Menan, died Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Rigby Country Living Center.
He was born December 23, 1963, in Rexburg, to Francis Moore and Ada Martin Moore.
He attended special education school in Idaho Falls and worked for Dean Boyce Farming in Menan and Larsen Farms in Terreton.
Clyde enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his sisters, Anna Moore, of Menan, Cora Avila, Connie Avila, Gena Avila, Elizabeth Avila, all of Idaho Falls, and a brother; Francis Avila, of Pocatello.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m.,Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at Annis Little Butte Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. Elaine Hill, age 68, of Victor, Idaho, died peacefully Saturday, June 21, 2008 at her home in Victor following a lengthy battle with cancer. 
 
Elaine was born March 24, 1940 in Driggs, Idaho to William and Lucy Cowan Stratton. She lived most of her life in Teton Valley, Idaho. She married Robert Hill on October 1, 1959. 
 
She was active in the L.D.S. Church. She was a cook at the Victor Elementary School. She loved to shop, camp, crochet, cook, and do yard work. 
 
She is survived by her husband; a son Jeffrey (Michele) Hill of New Hope, Minnesota; a daughter Debra (Phil) Abelin of Republic, Washington and Victor, Idaho; 2 sisters: Connie Solomon and Carol Stratton both of Victor, Idaho; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
 
She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister Arlene Matern.
 
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Victor L.D.S. Church. A visitation will be on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at the Valley Mortuary in Driggs, Idaho from 7 – 8:30 P.M. and then for an hour prior to the funeral at the church. Burial will be in the Darby Cemetery in Driggs, Idaho. 
 
Eva Frances Pickering age 88 of Plano, Iowa died June 19, 2008 at the Corydon, Iowa hospital. She was born October 25, 1919 in Nenzel, Nebraska to Mathias and Maria Rosa Nollette Boltz. She grew up and attended school in Nenzel, Nebraska. On May 10, 1939 she married John Malcolm Pickering and to this union were born 3 children.
Frances enjoyed being outside working in her yard and just out walking.
She is survived by a daughter Jeanne Joiner of Plano, Iowa, a son James of Idaho Falls, Idaho and sisters Helen Wilson (William) of Caldwell, ID, Barbara Fleming of Boise, ID and June Hargrave (Bernard) of Richland, Wash. Frances was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and 10 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mathias & Rosa, husband John, daughter Janet, 4 brothers Augustine, Luke, Edward and Walter and 4 sisters Mary, Dorothy, Esther & Kathleen.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby, the family will visit with friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Janice Ann Reneau, 68 of Idaho Falls, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at her home.
She was born January 18, 1940, in Ashton, Idaho, a daughter of Tom Reneau, and Elva Davis Reneau. She attended schools in Ashton and graduated from Ashton High School. On September 13, 1963 she married Larry Whitaker in Ashton. They were later divorced.
After graduating from Beautician School in Idaho Falls she worked for Rebecca Goulding Beauty Salon in St. Anthony and later owned her own salons in Ashton and Ririe.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as Relief Society Visiting Teaching Coordinator.
Janice enjoyed her cats.
She is survived by her son, Devlyn Wayne Whitaker, of Idaho Falls, a sister, Bonnie Hill of Idaho Falls, and a brother, Wayne Reneau of Rigby.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 23, 2008 at the Iona Stake Center, with Bishop Brad Bailey, conducting. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to services at the church.
