Ryan Martin
Ryan Martin was born and raised in North Central Indiana on a small livestock farm. The family's main enterprise was sheep and hay production. Fascinated with weather at an early age, Ryan wanted to continue his education on weather, especially as it related to farmers. "I just wanted to be able to tell people when to cut hay!!" Ryan graduated from Purdue University in 1996 with a B.S. Degree in Applied Agricultural Meteorology. However, Ryan has been involved in operational forecasting and broadcasting since 1992. After completing an internship with CLTV News in Chicago, Illinois, Ryan went to work for WSJV-TV in South Bend, Indiana as a weather anchor, and supplied weather forecasts to WOWO radio in Fort Wayne Indiana. Ryan also is an active member in his local church body as the sound engineer and has volunteered as a 4-H leader. Always interested in politics, Ryan has campaigned for state office. Ryan is happily married to Melanie, with baby #1 due in June.
