Ida Mae Loveridge Campbell, 72, of St. Anthony, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at her home of natural causes.
She was born July 16, 1936, in Lehi, Utah, to Don Irvine and Belva June Jones Loveridge. She attended schools in Orem, Utah, and graduated from Orem High School.
She married Markay Campbell, and they lived in Utah and California. They later divorced. She was a waitress for many years working for Marriott Hotels in West Valley City, Utah. After retiring, she moved to St. Anthony to be near family. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing and gardening. She also enjoyed quilting once a week with her friends.
She is survived by her children, Bryan "Bud" Markay Campbell of Barstow, Calif., Terry Don Campbell of St. Anthony, DeAnne and Dale J. Hope of Parker, and Marilyn and Todd Poulsen of San Diego, Calif.; and former daughters-in-law, Marilyn Clark of Barstow, Calif., and Beverly Haslan of Riverton, Utah.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, at Bert Flamm Mortuary, 581 E. First North in St. Anthony. The family will receive friends from noon to 12:45 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
 
Mary J. Carter, 98, formerly of St. Anthony, died Jan. 7, 2009, at The Gables Assisted Living Center in Ammon.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at Bidwell Funeral Home in St. Anthony. Burial will be in Ashton-Pineview Cemetery.
 
Jarius Hansen, 73, of Swan Valley, died Jan. 6, 2009, at the Rexburg Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Arrangements are pending under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
 
Mona H. Neal, 85, of Idaho Falls, died Jan. 4, 2009, in Rexburg, where she had been living with her daughter Laura.
She was born Sept. 24, 1923, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Howard Humphrey and Blanch Howard Humphrey. She grew up in Swan Valley, Chester, St. Anthony, Ashton and Rigby. She attended Ashton High School and joined many reunions of the Class of 1941.
On Sept. 15, 1940, she married Jack Van Sickle in St. Anthony, Idaho. They were divorced in 1944. On Dec. 10, 1946, she married David Lewis Neal in Dillon, Mont. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on Feb. 21, 1970. He passed away Jan. 2, 1989. She worked for potato farmers, W. O. Hall & Sons and was an operator for Mountain Bell in Idaho Falls. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she had served in the Primary, Scouting, as a girls camp leader and a visiting teacher. She was a member of the Easy Breathers, Union Pacific Railroad Old Timers and Senior Citizens. She enjoyed clogging, dancing, knitting, fishing, camping and playing bridge and Scrabble. Mona loved and enjoyed life, especially her family.
She is survived by her children, Jackie Hymas of Boise, Judy (Blair) Hinckley of Idaho Falls, Tim (Marcia) Neal of Firth, Dan (Judy) Neal of Casper, Wyo., Jim (Eve) Neal of Roy, Utah, and Laura (Bruce) Burton of Rexburg; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, David; a son, Cary Neal; a son-in-law, Jerry Hymas; a grandson, Scott Neal; a sister, Donna Jensen; and brothers, Doug and Vance Humphrey.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at the Idaho Falls LDS 18th Ward Chapel, 2100 Dunbar Drive, with Bishop Cloyd Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. in Idaho Falls, and for one hour prior to the services at the church. Georgia Doreen Haws, 77, of Rigby, died January 4, 2009 at The Gables Assisted Living Center in Ammon.
 
She was born April 11, 1931, in Newdale, to Rayman Haws and Mary Olive Dodson Haws.
She was raised and attended schools in Newdale and Sugar City. She lived in Menan, Idaho Falls, and Rigby.
 
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and bowled in the Rigby Bowling League.
She worked for Pillsbury in Shelley and at a mink farm in Menan.
Georgia enjoyed bowling, fishing, working puzzles, and working in her yard.
 
She is survived by a sister, Irene (Edward) Ross, of Ephrata, WA, and a brother, Rayman (Jane) Haws of Tucson, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Dorothy Nelson, Beth Welker, Pearl Baker, Joyce Haws, brothers, Burton Haws, Reid Haws, Vance Haws, and Alan Haws.
 
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 8, 2009, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby, with Alan Jensen, conducting. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
 
 
Leonora Ann Myler Spencer, 88, of Lewisville, died December 28, 2008, at Homestead Assisted Living Center in Rigby.
 
Leonora was born October 12, 1920, in Dubois, to Orrin Monroe Myler and Mary Boyes Walker. She attended school in Idaho Falls. On October 12, 1938, she married Arnold Orson Spencer in Pocatello. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Cardston Alberta Temple on June 22, 1939. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in all axillaries in the church. Leonora loved family, quilting, and gardening. Her flowers and her yard were her therapy.
 
She is survived by her children, Elmer Spencer, of Bountiful, UT, (Sue) Spencer, of Turlock, CA, Barbara Baxter, of Clovis, CA, Arlene (Robert) Cordingley, of Grant, Norman (Bobbie) Spencer, of Downey, David (Karen) Spencer, of Rigby, Carol (Dale) Nelson, of Ephrata, WA; 31 grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, a brother, Orrin Myler, sisters Sarah Grover and Joy Hinckley. Her husband preceded her in death in 1962. A granddaughter, a great-grandson, and five sisters, also preceded her in death.
 
 Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 3, 2008, at the Lewisville Church, with Bishop Tony Nielsen, officiating. The family will visit with friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Lewisville Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. Condolences may be sent to the family on line at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com
 
 
 
Keith Steiner, 63, of Rexburg, Idaho, died Saturday, December 27, 2008 at his home.
Keith was born March 14, 1945 to Rulon and Angeline Steiner in Rexburg, Idaho where he was raised, and graduated from Madison High School in 1963. He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Sociology and Political Science and his Maters of Public Administration in Executive Management from Brigham Young University.
Keith married Judy Casper, of Rigby, Idaho, on March 29, 1968 in the Idaho Falls Temple. He is survived by his wife, Judy and children: Brian (Erica) Steiner of Smithfield, UT, Joanna (Rick) Kreifeldt of South Jordan, UT, Lynette Steiner of Roberts, ID, Melanie (Alan) Gordon of Vernal, UT, and Kelli (Brett) Lindsey of South Jordan, UT and 14 grandchildren who adored him. He is also survived by siblings: Blaine (Verlene) Steiner of Antioch, CA, Marilyn (Dahl) Gulbransen of Federal Way, WA and Farrell (Stacy) Steiner of Ammon, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Braydon.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the West German Mission. He held many positions in the church, including Bishop, member of a High Council and at the time of his death, was serving with his spouse as a Cub Scot Leader and as an Ordinance Worker at the Rexburg Temple.
Keith enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Some of his happiest times were spent outdoors with his family golfing, 4-wheeling, camping, fishing and hiking.
Keith devoted his career to the health care field. During his 32 years as CEO of Madison Memorial Hospital, he fulfilled his vision of providing the highest quality healthcare to the community. In that time, he oversaw several expansion projects and assisted in recruiting numerous specialists and physicians resulting in greatly expanded services.
Keith served on many local, state and national councils, committees and task forces in health care over the years, including the American Hospital Association and the Idaho Hospital Association. He was very involved in the community and served as President of the Rexburg Chamber of Commerce and Rotary International.
Keith received many awards and recognitions throughout his career, including the Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year (1985) and Businessman of the Year (2006) and was the recipient of the prestigious Star Garnet Award from the Idaho Hospital Association (2007).
         Although he received numerous awards throughout his career, his greatest joy came from his time spent with his family. His own words summarize it best: "I hope all the public service I have given so far in life has helped others enjoy a better quality of life. I choose to measure my quality of life by having my sweet eternal companion at my side, five beautiful children who make me so proud, and grandchildren who allow me to laugh, cry and play."
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at the Rexburg North Stake Center ( 314 East 2nd North in Rexburg) The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2008 at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, prior to services in the church. Interment will be at the Rexburg Cemetery.
 
 
 
Harriette Louise Hymas, 82 of Plano, died Saturday, December 29, 2008 at the home of a son in Plano. She was born December 25, 1926 at Rexburg to William Theodore Berrett and Harriette Smith Ballif Berrett. She graduated from Midway High School in 1944 and from Ricks College in 1946 with a degree in Education.
She married Harold Douglas Hymas on June 26, 1946 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He died January 21, 1996. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a missionary with her husband at the Family History Center in Rexburg and they were ordinance workers at the Idaho Falls Temple. She served as an election official for several years and was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She supported her children in their athletic activities and was awarded the Bronze Sweat Sock for attending so many Sugar-Salem athletic events for more than twenty five years. She enjoyed working in her yard and garden and she loved to sing in the Plano ward choir. She was a great mother and example to all her family.
She is survived by her children; Doug (Linda) Hymas, Rick (Carol) Hymas, John (Becky) Hymas, Robin (Peggy) Hymas, Kevin (Louise) Hymas, Janet (Kim) Reynolds, Layne (Uleza) Hymas, a daughter-in-law, Denise (Lamont) Merrill all of the upper valley, siblings; Emma Rae Gilbert, Georgia Gae Birch, Alice Brown, Nancy Shawcroft, and William Berrett Jr., 50 grandchildren and 75 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, a son Kelly Hymas, two granddaughters, a great granddaughter, her parents and two sisters, Virgene Hirschi and Kathryn Barnes.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2009 at the Plano Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Randy Brown officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday at the Plano church from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Plano Cemetery under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home of Rexburg.
 
 
Hadley Clark Sorensen, 85, of Boise, formerly of Menan, died December 25, 2008, at the Life Care Center of Boise.
Hadley was born May 9, 1923 in Idaho Falls, Idaho a son of Jens Clarence “Doc” Sorensen and Mable Poole Sorensen. He grew up and attended schools in Firth, I.F. and Camas, and graduated from High School at Hamer, Idaho. He served in the Army infantry in the Second World War; He belonged to the American Legion. He worked as a rancher. He worked as a fireman and a security guard at INEL. Hadley married Vonda Dean Killian on July 22, 1944 in Sparta, Wisconsin. He enjoyed being a cowboy, boating, and gardening. 
He is survived by his wife, Vonda Sorensen, of Boise, daughters, Cheryl (Randy) Coy, of Winnemucca, NV, Jennie (Jef) Dudley, of Inkom, sons, Mark (Marilyn), of Elko, NV, Randall “Pete” (Linda) Sorensen, of Blackfoot, Jerry (Kelly) Sorensen, of Boise, sisters, Billy (Will) Eckberg, of Notus, Idaho, Marie Hunter, of Billings, MT, Berva Dawn (Dan) Taylor, of Doole, TX, 18 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Mable Sorensen, a Brother, Dick Sorensen, a sister, Theda Bellin, 2 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at the Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.

J Philip Ricks, 68, died at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, December 27, 2008, as a result of a stroke.
He was born May 23, 1940, to LaVere Arnold and Lucille Johnson Ricks in Rexburg, ID. He was the oldest of 7 children.
He graduated from Madison High School. He received an Associates Degree from Ricks College and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Utah State University. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Stockholm Sweden.
He married Karla Rae Davenport on January 12, 1963 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Philip and Karla have 9 children.
Philip was a farmer and part owner of local Wendy’s Restaurants. He served as a member of the KID broadcasting board, the local canal board, and participated in the Leadership Idaho Agriculture program. He was a member of the Carousel Chorus and loved to sing barbershop. He shared his love of barbershop by organizing youth barbershop festivals for area high schools and BYU-Idaho. He invited quartets to Rexburg, including international champions, to sing at these festivals and was show chairman of the Carousel Chorus for many years.
He was an active member of the LDS church and served as bishop’s counselor, bishop, high councilman, and temple worker. He enjoyed serving the youth and coaching basketball. He received an award of merit for scouting.
Philip loved his children and grand-children and they were a central part of his life. One of his greatest joys was thinking of how he could help his children and grandchildren. He has left us a tremendous legacy of love, service, and faithfulness.
Survivors include his wife, Karla, of Rexburg, his children: Karinne (Boyd) Young of Tehachapi, CA; Val (Elizabeth) Ricks of The Woodlands, TX; Susan Ricks of Rexburg; Marie Ricks of South Jordan, UT; Kevin (Andrea) Ricks, Neal (Annette) Ricks, Jolyn (Dave) Olsen, Emily (Ryan) Durfee, all of Rexburg; Kyle (Emily) Ricks of Indianapolis, IN. He is also survived by brothers and sisters: Sherwood (Georgia) Ricks, Paul (Linda) Ricks, all of Rexburg; LaJean (Val) Clarke of McCammon, ID; Lyndon (Elizabeth) Ricks of Centerville, UT; Carol (Roy)Terry, West Valley City, UT; a sister-in-law Dotty Ricks of Rexburg and 27 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Shelby Ricks all of Rexburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2009 at the Rexburg LDS Stake Center (845 West 7th South) with Bishop Greg Wightman officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Friday at the stake center from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Sutton Cemetery at Archer.
 
 
Vern Clair Lambert, 91 of St. Anthony, died Sunday, December 21, 2008 in Rexburg of causes incident to age.
He was born June 23, 1917 in Camas, Utah to Ira Clair and Leona Christensen Lambert. As a young man he moved with his family to Mackay, Idaho where he attended school and worked on the family sheep ranch.
He joined the army in March of 1942 and served as a demolition foreman in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe.
He married Ida Marie Powell Walters on August 27, 1952 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in St. Anthony. He worked in powerline construction which took him throughout the West.
His hobbies were fishing & fly tying, lapidary, Leather tooling, making jewelry , gardening, carpentry and wood working and many more interests.
He is survived by three children, Jerry Walters of Idaho Falls, ID; Donald (Pat) Walters of Island Park, ID and Brenda (Orion) Ward of St. Anthony, ID; siblings, Merle Tippits of Boise, ID; Clyde Lambert and Harold Lambert both of Mackay, ID; and Nina Whiting of St. George, UT; 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 2 brothers.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 12:00 noon at the St. Anthony 3rd Ward Chapel. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at the Church. Burial will be in the Parker Cemetery where military rites will be presented by St. Anthony’s VFW and American Legion. Arrangements are under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
 
 
Ruby H. Fullmer, 82, of Tetonia, Idaho, died December 24, 2008, at her son’s home in Idaho Falls.
She was born March 28, 1926, to Paul August Hansen and Matilda Jane Hansen. She grew up in Clawson, east of Tetonia, and graduated from Teton High School. On June 7, 1948, she married Earl Ray Fullmer in Tetonia. Their marriage was later solemnized March 3, 1965 in the Idaho Falls Temple. She worked for Simplot Potatoes as a crew manager and as a clerk at The Wardrobe and Fashion Boutique.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held many callings in the church. Her favorite callings included Relief Society President, compassionate service leader and teacher in the Relief Society.
She loved helping others around her. Many people were recipients of her gentle touch and compassionate service. She loved her family and was so proud of all of them. Many bear hugs were received by all.
Survivors include her children, Beverly (Clint) Beard of Idaho Falls, Lance (Clea) Fullmer of Idaho Falls, Kurt (Lorri) Fullmer of Logan, Utah, Toni (Kim) Kearsley of Delta, Utah, 21 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Matilda Hansen, her husband, Earl Ray Fullmer, a son, Brent Earl Fullmer, two granddaughters, Crystal Whitaker and Kelia Fullmer, a brother, Paul Junior Hansen, ½ Siblings, Lindy Waldrom, Dorothy Partridge, Hillman Bay, Wilba Bay, Therol Bay and Thora Miles.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 27, 2008, at 11:30 a.m. at the Tetonia LDS Church. The family will visit with friends from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. before the service at the church. A private family viewing will be held Friday at the Valley Mortuary. Burial will be in the Cache-Clawson Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Valley Mortuary of Driggs.
