Come enjoy the singing talent of Brigham Young University-Idaho students in Opera Scenes, a free musical event to be held Friday and Saturday, March 5 and 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Room 181 of the Eliza R. Snow Performing Arts Center. Scenes from six operas will be presented, including Mozart's Così fan tutte, Donizetti's Elixir of Love, Verdi's Rigoletto and Macbeth, Menotti's Old Maid and the Thief, and Bernstein's Trouble in Tahiti.

CENSUS TOUR IN ST. ANTHONY
The 2010 Census Portrait of America Road Tour is coming to Idaho. The Road Tour is part of the largest civic outreach and awareness campaign in U.S. history, stopping at more than 800 events nationwide. From local parades and festivals to major sporting events, the Road Tour will attempt to motivate America’s growing and increasingly diverse population to complete and mail back the 10-question census form when it arrives in mailboxes in March.
 
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the 2010 Census and understand the benefits a complete count can bring to communities everywhere; view an interactive display of the census form and learn how the collected information is used; and contribute stories and photos to the Portrait of America project to explain why “I count!” and view messages from other Road Tour participants.

ST. JOHN’S MEDICAL CENTER----LITE LUNCH
St. John’s will host a Lite Lunch Presentation “Reconstructive Breast Surgery: What are your options?” with John C. Payne, DO. Dr. Payne is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery and offers all types of cosmetic and reconstructive services to the Jackson community full-time, year-round.
Hear what options are available in post-mastectomy breast reconstruction including timing of surgery, types of reconstruction, and what specific considerations are addressed in choosing which option is right for you. The presentation is from noon - 1 pm in the Moose/Wapiti Classroom at St. John’s Medical Center. This presentation is free, open to the public, and bring your lunch. MADISON LIBRARY----“IN A SPIN…”
Beginning at 6:30 p.m… the Madison Library will be hosting a demonstration of the historic craft of spinning during its weekly “Close Knit Community.” Mary Ellen Anderson, education coordinator for the Weaving, Spinning, and Fiber Arts Guild of Idaho Falls, will share her skills and knowledge and allow interested parties to try their hand at this intriguing early technique.  Anyone interested in crafts, history, or just seeing something a little different is encouraged to come and participate.
 
Those attending “A Close Knit Community” do not need to be knitters or crocheters to take part; everyone is welcome.  Those who do stitch are encouraged to bring their projects to work on that night.  Anyone wishing to learn these skills or interested in joining in on the service projects of the group is encouraged to come half an hour early, at 6:00, for instruction.

2ND Annual Winter Photo Festival
Photographers are invited to share their favorite winter photos of the
Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem during the Second Annual Winter Photo
Festival to be held in early March in West Yellowstone.

The festival is sponsored by the National Park Service and the Grizzly and
Wolf Discovery Center.  It will be held at the West Yellowstone Visitor
Information Center on Thursday, March 11 at 7:00 p.m.
Photographers are asked to bring digital photos on a thumb drive or photo
CD so they can display and narrate their photos.
